The Touch of Darkness is a Guild Wars 2 GAming Community / Guild, with loads of dedicated members. We're a friendly, mature, helpful and social guild, and most of all, drama free! These things are most important in a guild. And as for the leaders and officers, they listen to their community. Let me tell you a bit more in detail about the guild below.

Who are we?
We are a European Guild Wars 2 Guild, created by two people in love, with love for the game and love for the guild. Hardist and Venillious, Sanguinem Deus and Veninum, Ron and Judit, the two "Masters of Darkness", have created this guild because they love Guild Wars 2, they love leading a guild and they enjoy building and maintaining a nice community. A little history about Ron and Judit first so you will know a bit more about the two people leading this guild.

They have met in another MMO, the Lord of the Rings Online. This was about one and a half year ago, on the 18th of may on 2011. They met in the game and started to talk. Since that day they have not been separate from each other one day, and right now they are living together in the Netherlands. Ron is from the Netherlands and Judit is Hungarian. How did we get in touch with Guild Wars 2?

Judit has been waiting for this game since 2007. Ron never played Guild Wars before but he loves the game just as much as Judit does. They only played a few hours together in the first Beta Weekend, but they already were very much in love with this game. That is mainly the reason they decided to start their own guild. But not only that, Ron had his own kin/guild in LOTRO (Lord of the Rings Online) and it was a very successful guild. The main reason for that is that we do not recruit just anyone into the guild, and people need to get to know each other before they become a full member, and so on. We're just not like any other guild, we really love a good organisation, and we believe this forum will help us with that immensely.

Invision Power Board Forums. No website. Why?
The reason we are not using a website, is mainly because it takes a lot of time to create it and also to maintain and update it. With these forums we can update, upgrade, maintain and implement new things very easily and fast. And these are not just ordinary forums, they are very powerful, there are a lot of options and modifications for it, which means that in our eyes these forums are one of the, if not the, best. We can organize things for our guild very quickly and easily using our calendar, and we will in the future also install an image gallery which people can use to create and maintain their own Guild Wars 2 image albums very easily. Right now we only have a simple but powerful image uploader. People will be able to share their images quickly and easily but having their own gallery makes it just that more personal which is what we would like to achieve in the future. And we are using a Portal for the forums, which is the base for every new visitor with lots of information on it.

What are we doing here?
As you might have guessed, we are mainly playing the game Guild Wars 2. But we also would like to build our own community regarding Guild Wars 2. Non-guild members can visit these forums in order to participate in the Guild Wars 2 discussions, contests, but also ask for support regarding their Guild Wars 2 client or any other software- or hardware related issues they might have. In the future we might also make some things available for donating members, like the image uploader, galleries, and other stuff that will be useful for our members. We might also implement some kind of affiliation system so we can easily share our partner's links and vice versa.

What are these forums all about?
As you could have read already, the forums are not only meant for Guild Members, but a big part of them are ofcourse. In the future we would like to expand the forums so also non-guild members will be able to enjoy our forums. We hope to grow bigger in the future also, so we can have a few partners and affiliates, and others will be able to advertise their own website or forums on ours. We do have a point system on the forums right now, everyone who posts a new topic will receive 2 points, and for every reply someone can receive 1 point. What we're going to do and how we're going to use these points in the future, is unclear at this moment, but we have some plans for them.
